Triumph Motorcycle Seat Transferred to Reclaimed Wood
This wall hanging comes ready to hang and includes beautiful close up photograph of the back end of a vintage Triumph Motorcycle at the Fortin’s Vintage car show in Chilliwack, BC. I almost walked right by this vintage motorcycle and turned around to look at something else. She was up on a trailer just perfect height to capture the stitching on the seat.
How It’s Made
Each wall hanging is handmade in the studio where I carefully select the pieces of reclaimed wood. Each piece of wood is unique and has its own personality. The piece of art you receive will have the same photograph however, every piece is different. The wood will have its own interesting colour, texture, imperfections and style.
The wall decor is completely handmade. Firstly, the process starts with sanding the wood and putting biscuits in the wood for better stability. Secondly, I whitewash the wood so the colours of the photograph will pop, photograph is manually transferred. Covering it with a UV varnish. Finally, it isĀ stapled and a hanger attached.
Sizes
The photographs themselves are 5×7, 8×10 and 11×14 approximately. Larger sizes can also be made by request.
Larger sizes require more than one piece of paper for the transfers due to limits of the size of the copies.
Custom Orders
If you have a photograph that you would like to have transferred onto reclaimed wood, custom orders are always welcome, please send me a message to discuss your custom wall hanging.
Although all of images are color compatible for viewing online, most computer monitors vary in their color configurations and the images that you see may not have accurate color representation.
