Royal Hotel Lobby Wall Decor

This wall hangings comes ready to hang and includes an unique photograph of the lobby of the iconic Royal Hotel in Chilliwack, BC. It was established in 1908, oh if the walls could talk. I have heard it is supposed to be haunted.

How it’s made

Royal Hotel Lobby Wall Decor is handmade in my studio from a carefully selected pieces of reclaimed wood. Each piece of wood is unique and has its own personality. The art you receive will have the same photograph as the listing images. However, the wood will have its own interesting colour, texture, imperfections and style. It is completely handmade. Firstly, the process starts with sanding the wood. Secondly, putting biscuits in the wood for better stability. Next, I whitewash the wood so the colours will pop,then manually transfer the photograph and covering it will a UV varnish. Finally, it is  stapled and it’s ready to hang anywhere you like.

Sizes

The photographs are 5×7, 8×10 and 11×14 approximately. There will be an additional inch or 2 more width and length for the wood. Larger sizes can also be made by request. However, they require more than one piece of paper for the transfers due to limits of the size of copies. For instance, a photograph 11×25 will require 2 pieces of 11×17 paper.

Although all of images are color compatible for viewing online, most computer monitors vary in their color configurations and the images that you see may not have accurate color representation.
