Dragonfly Print

I was outside reading in the summer when I looked up and saw this beautiful dragonfly on my pea plant in my garden one summer evening. He was kind enough to wait around for me to go inside and grab my camera. Very kind of him, I thought.

In almost every part of the world, the Dragonfly symbolizes change, transformation, adaptability, and self-realization. The change that is often referred to has its source in mental and emotional maturity and understanding the deeper meaning of life. Which was appropriate for me at that time. I was just going through a divorce and working on myself, to find out who I was after 20 years of marriage. My sons and I were living in a basement suite in Burnaby when I had a visit from this guy. And I was back at school. All changes in my world.
